Whether it’s a secret underground location or a unique venue hidden behind an inconspicuous door on a busy street, London’s full of intriguing hidden gems which fill guests with childish wonder. So we’ve gone off the beaten track and scoured the city to compile a list of our favourite best kept secret venues in London…

Brunswick House

Stepping into Brunswick House is like stepping into Aladdin’s Cave, you never know what you might find. Full to the brim with reclaimed furniture, salvaged curiosities and vintage antiquities, this 18th century building is the epitome of Georgian splendour. Each room brings something new; whether it’s The Smoking Room with its traditional interiors, low hanging chandeliers and open fireplace or The Parlour, with its chequered flooring and playful character. Hire each room individually for an intimate dinner or hire the venue exclusively for an immersive brand event.

The Stafford Wine Cellar

Housed beneath The Stafford London is this hidden wine cellar and one of the most unique spaces London has to offer. Understated and engaging, the cellar was built in the 17th Century and was once used as an air raid shelter in WWII. Today, it houses up to 8,000 bottles of fine wine and can be hired exclusively for a VIP dinner or drinks reception. If you’re hosting an event here, wine tastings and wine pairings are a must. Hosted by the charismatic Master Sommelier Gino Nardella whose knowledge for wine is second to none, his career at The Stafford alone spanning over 40 years and passion for the product contagious.

The Ditch at Shoreditch Town Hall

Shoreditch Town Hall’s best kept secret is without doubt The Ditch; a raw basement space which you wouldn’t expect to find in such a grand, sought-after location where boxing matches and legendary Whirly Gig parties were once held. A warren of interconnecting spaces, the untouched space boasts exposed brickwork and pipes, original features and fireplaces which all contribute to its distressed aesthetic, creating an intriguing, blank canvas setting for a memorable brand launch or experiential event.

Victorian Bath House

Despite being situated in the heart of the busy Liverpool Street, this quirky venue has managed to keep an air of curiosity around it. The Grade II listed Turkish Bath House is now a dedicated London event venue and certainly makes for an interesting setting with its temple like exterior, ornate furnishings, intricate mosaics and of course the infamous Champagne Bath Tub. The unique space is flexible and versatile, whether you’re organising a VIP dinner, conference or an outrageous party, there’s no other venue quite like Victorian Bath House.

TT Liquor

Home to all things liquor, this former police station situated in East London is a real life Tardis. From the dainty bottle shop stacked high with beer, wine and spirits to the 1920’s inspired cellar bar, where guests can actually sit in the former 19th century jail cells, there’s a whole host of unique spaces on offer. Not to mention the vintage Screening Room and The Vaults; where guests can take part in a liquor tasting or cocktail masterclass with the coolest mixologists in London. If one thing’s for certain, this is the perfect spot for liquor enthusiasts and cocktail lovers alike!
